Favorite Bottle for Baby

I always do a lot of research before I buy anything, especially baby/child related.  When I was pregnant with the twins, I had heard a lot of great things about the Dr. Brown's bottles- how they reduce the amount of air swallowed by baby (a.k.a. gas), reduce spit up's, reduce colicky events, etc.  And I'm sure that it did do that for our twins but what it didn't do was save us time because we were washing 5 parts to each bottle!  Besides being in a complete daze from having to wake the twins every 2-3 hours to feed/change/put to sleep for 24 hours a day initially, we were spending our quiet time while the twins were sleeping washing all of the parts to our Dr. Brown's bottles.  My husband and I would literally have an assembly line to wash and rinse each part!  What a waste of our time and yeah we could've just put the parts in the dishwasher but since we were feeding the kids so frequently, we didn't want to buy 12+ bottles to make this work.

Then one day my sister told me about the Playtex Drop-In System! OMG what a time saver!!!  It's so easy to use.  You buy the hard plastic nurser bottles with the nipple and nipple ring.  You also need to buy the drop-in liners.  I have to say that these are the best bottles out there for busy and exhausted parents!  All you have to do is placed the pre-sterilized bottle liner in the bottle, top with the nipple/ring and that's it.  When baby is done with the bottle, you unscrew the ring from the bottle and discard the liner.  All you are left to wash is the nipple and nipple ring after each use and at the end of the day you can wash the bottle.  The Playtex Drop-In system also helps to reduce colic, spit-ups and gas because the liner collapses as baby drinks thus reducing the amount of air swallowed by baby. And this bottle system is BPA free, which is something we are always looking for when it comes to our child's health and safety.  This bottle system is such a lifesaver in terms of time and ease of use.  You can buy the Playtex brand liners or the generic store brand liners (i.e. Target, CVS, etc.) and save some money that way.  But all in all, what a great bottle system for busy and exhausted parents!
