Great Workout Sites

I know that there are some mom's out there that either don't have the time to make it to the gym or don't feel comfortable working out with other people...and that's OK.  I have a couple of great sites that you can get a great workout all in the privacy of your own home, and with very little equipment required.

The first site is Bodyrock.tv.  This free site is great.  They provide you challenging and quick exercises. You can get a great workout in as little as 12 minutes!!  But don't get me wrong, just because your workout is done in 12 minutes, doesn't mean that you aren't going to work out so hard that you think you might throw up!  YEP...you are going to work your butt off but it will all be worth it in the end.  Also keep in mind that if you find the exercises to be too challenging, not to worry and definitely don't quit.  There are modifications for every exercise, and you can work up to doing the challenging moves.  This just gives you something to work towards as a goal.  If you do 1 (or 2) of these workouts throughout the day, you'll be looking like Lisa or Zuzana (the female hosts).  Oh yeah, that's the other thing - the female hosts (the old one - Zuzana and the new one - Lisa) have the most aahh-mazing bodies that you want to hate them and envy them at the same time.  But trust me, put your thoughts or preconceived notions about them aside and do the workout - you may surprise yourself and start to see muscular definition that you have never seen before or at least haven't seen in a really, really long time!  Check it out daily for new workouts.

The other sites are actually on YouTube.  Aside from seeing the videos from BodyRock.tv on YouTube, one of the co-creators of BodyRock.tv - Zuzana, recently left BodyRock and started her own channel called ZuzkaLight.  She provides the same type of challenging and quick exercises as on BodyRock.tv.  These exercises will kick your butt but you will walk away with a great workout!  Again, if you find the exercises too hard, just modify the movement to what you can do and slowly work up to doing the challenging move that Zuzana is doing.

Also on YouTube is a channel of 2 fitness experts/models called ToneItUp.  They also have a site call http://toneitup.com.  I like these 2 ladies, Katrina and Karena- they are entertaining and provide great workouts as well as nutrition information.  Of course, the nutrition info they give are in tid-bits and if you want to follow their diet, then you must purchase it (which I haven't) but I find them educational and they introduce me to foods and ingredients that I may not have heard of or have overlooked.  As for their exercises, they provide challenging (though a different type of challenge than BodyRock.tv and ZuzkaLight) and fun workout.

So check out these sites and give them a try.  We know that exercise not only helps us to lose those stubborn LBS leftover from that last baby we had, but it also helps increase our energy levels, enhance our mood, improve our digestion, and allow us to sleep better at night.  Enjoy...
