Product Review - Christian Dior Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Foundation (new formulation 2011)

Even though it seems like I had found my HG Foundation, I am always on the hunt for a new HG foundation (better price, better coverage, etc).  While on a trip to CA visiting my sister-in-law we went to Nordstom in Santa Monica and the Dior MUA color-matched me in the newest formulation of the Dior Flawless Perfection foundation in Sand 031.  For reference, I have combination to oily skin, especially in my T-zone and am a MAC NC 30/Chanel 40 Beige/MUFE 128.  The Dior MUA told me to use just a little bit of foundation and that a little will go a long way.  And boy was she right!

This foundation provides medium coverage and can be built up to full coverage or sheered out for lighter coverage.  It has a satin finish that looks quite natural on.  I apply this foundation with my Sigma F84 Angled Kabuki brush which just enhances it's flawless appearance.  I love this brush for foundation application and have so many great things to say about it but that's for another review.  I apply a primer to my skin before my foundation (either MUFE HD Primer or UD Poreless Perfecting Primer) and I set my foundation with either Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder or Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. This foundation also has SPF 25 which is a plus.  I also love that this foundation lasts on your skin all day without oxidizing (on me at least).  For example, I applied this foundation at 6:30am and about midway through the day, I did notice some oiliness in my T-zone (I used my MAC Blot Powder to fix that) but I continued on to wear this foundation to the gym through a 45 minute Spin class as well as a 45 minute Boot Camp type class.  Despite all of the sweating and wiping/blotting throughout the workouts, my foundation still looked surprisingly good.  I was totally amazed.  I had half expected my foundation to have started to break down by late afternoon/early evening but this foundation exceeded all of my expectations for a long wearing foundation.  It totally lived up to it's hype of being the latest and greatest in foundation technology.  This foundation comes in a decent range of shades from Ivory to Honey Beige.  The retail price for this foundation is $46.00 for 1 fl. oz. of product.  While this may seem a tad on the pricey side, I think it's worth it if your face looks flawless from the moment you put in on until you take it off at night. 

So if you are looking for a foundation that will give you a flawless complexion that looks natural, then this is the product for you.  This is the perfect foundation for a busy mom who needs her makeup to last for our 25 hour days!
