Okay I know that this post might be a little late for you gift buyers or this post is exactly what you have been waiting for since you find it difficult to buy something nice for your beauty loving friends. Now since I have not purchased a lot of makeup this year (I made a resolution to to use up what I have but did buy products that were limited edition or felt like they would be a good addition to my collection), I did find some products that I think every beauty loving gal would love to have.
The first item on my list was just released in stores this week (but online last week I think) so if this is something you want to get your hands on - do so quickly before it sells out. It's the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. If you have the other 2 Naked palettes and don't think that you need another Naked palette, well this palette is quite different than the first 2. The original Naked palette is described as "bronze-hued neutrals", the Naked 2 palette is described as "taupe and greige hued neutrals" and the Naked 3 palette is described as "rose-hued neutrals". This palette contains 12 brand new shades to the Urban Decay line. Which is a plus considering the first 2 palettes contain colors that are part of their permanent line and there is actually one duplicate between the first 2 palettes (quite annoying if you ask me). I prefer the first Naked palette but I say that because I have been using that the longest but I tried out the Naked 3 palette and I like the look that I created. The best thing that I love about these palettes is that you can create endless looks with them - both daytime and nighttime looks. My everyday look usually consists of a light color on my brow bone, mid-tone on my lid and matte neutral shade in my crease. Easy peasy and each of the 3 palettes have these types of colors/tones within them. This palette also comes with a double-ended brush - one side for applying color and the other side to blend it out. To be honest, I like these brushes to apply and blend out concealer, especially under the eye area. A great multi-purpose brush! Like the other 2 Naked palettes, there is a variety of mattes, shimmers, I love these palettes and every beauty addict should have at least one of these palettes in their collection. These palettes retail for $52 and you can get them from Sephora, Ulta, and Urban Decay.com.

The next item is a very luxurious and excellent brush from Marc Jacobs - The Face II. This brush does not come cheap at $48 but it's worth every penny. I've said this in the past, your makeup is only good as the tools that you use to apply them. This is such a gorgeous and high quality brush. This brush is densely packed, amazingly soft (like a baby's butt soft) and applies mineral, cream and liquid foundation like a dream. It leaves a very airbrushed finish to your makeup. The bristles are synthetic which means less product wastage and another plus - no worrying about picking shedding brush hairs off your face! The handle is heavy and feels very luxe and high end. This brush is amazing - almost makes me want to pick up some of the other brushes in his line. I purchased this brush from Sephora. What a great high end, luxurious gift to give that beauty addict in your life or a great treat for yourself!

I am a huge fan all all things Tarte. I love their foundations, concealers, powder, lip glosses, eyeshadows, and my favorite - their blushes! This year they have come out with the limited edition Tarte Off The Cuff Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush Palette. The packaging is so lush and gorgeous - sparkly gold rectangular compact. This also came with a cute black leather-like material with a gold bow bracelet that I love to wear as a statement piece on my wrist. Within the palette are 4 12-hour Amazonian Clay blushes in Crave, Dazzled, Darling, and Dollface, as well as their popular Park Avenue Princess Bronzer. I love this palette - it's perfect to travel with or tuck into your purse to touch up during the day. These blushes having amazing pigmentation and last 12 hours without fading. This gift set retailed for $42 on Sephora.com. As of today, this set is sold out but may come back in stock soon. Tarte also has other wonderful gift sets for the holidays - eyeliner sets, lip sets, lashes set, eyeshadow sets, eye and cheek palette....just to name a few. You can also check out the Tarte.com site and see what other goodies they have their. This is a great cosmetics line with great quality products for the beauty lover in your life.

The next gift set I love are the 24/7 glide-on eyeliners from Urban Decay. They come in over 40 colors and are super pigmented, soft and buttery, and long-lasting. I love these because I have super watery eyes and these liners stay longer than most other brands of liners on my inside water-line. The set below is the limited edition Ocho Loco 2 set that I purchased from Sephora for $59. This is a great deal considering 1 liner retails for $19. I know you are probably thinking wow- some of these colors are so bright, that's not my thing! Not a problem, you can always add a slight punch of color by lining your bottom lash line with the brighter colors and it seriously adds just a subtle hint of color as opposed to wearing it on your upper lash line. I love doing this all of the time...I wear a neutral eye with a added pop of color on the bottom lash line or water line. I added my favorite drugstore mascara at the moment - Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black. This mascara makes your lashes look so lush and full...almost like you are wearing a set of false lashes.
