December 2012 Favorites
I can't believe that December and 2012 is already over! Between finding the perfect gifts, decorating the house, baking cookies, getting ready for the twins' 6th birthday and all of my end of the year projects, December really flew right on by. I'm not sure why but last month I went back to my makeup "basics"(i.e. my original makeup items).
Here are my favorites for the month of December:
1. Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation - I love the coverage and finish of this mineral foundation. This is by far one of my favorites this year in the foundation category. This foundation applies so effortlessly and just a little covers a lot! I have to say that I really like the Laura Mercier mineral foundation over the Bare Minerals mineral foundation.
2. MAC eyeshadows in Vanilla, Shroom, Naked Lunch, Jest, Charcoal Brown, Satin Taupe, Mystery, Wedge, Sketch and Twinks - These used to be my everyday MAC shadows - until I decided to branch out to other make up lines and try their shadows. These are some of my favorite MAC "neutral" colors. I love using the colors on the top row as all over lid color, base color or as a highlight. I use the rest of the colors as either a crease color or outer V color and even on the lower lash line. I also have gone back to using Charcoal Brown as my eyebrow color. There is something about pulling out one palette and having all of your colors right there for your use.
3. MAC lipstick in Fresh Brew - MLBB! What more can I say? I love this lipstick! Since I have acquired so many new lipsticks and glosses this past year, this one went to the back of my lip drawer. But I found it and I have fallen in love with it all over again. It's the perfect plummy brown shade that I love on my lips.
4. ELF Powder Brush - I purchased this brush at Target for $3!! And I love using this brush to place my Rimmel Stay Matte powder or MAC MSF Natural on my face. I just push the powder on the brush and then push it on my face - but I don't buff it in circular motions. I like get a little extra coverage with this brush but if you want to buff the product in you can do that too. This is a great powder brush for super cheap!
Stay tuned for my 2012 Favorites...
