November 2012 Favorites

I say it every month but it's true - the month flew right on by.  I can't believe that November is over and Christmas and New Years are right around the corner!!  Not to mention that my twins will turn 6 - what what???

Here are my favorites for the month of November:

1.  EcoTools Brush Set:  I purchased this set from CVS ages ago and they have been pushed to the back of my brush stash until recently.  I forgot how much I love these little brushes.  My favorite is the "smudge"brush - it's perfect for smudging out color or liner on the upper and lower lash line, as well as applying a highlight color to the inner tear duct area.  Quite honestly, all of these brushes are great and best of all, this is an inexpensive set - quality brushes for a drugstore price!  Not only can you use this set on a daily basis, but it's small enough to travel with.

2.  Blushes:  NYX Mosaic Powder Blush in Rosey and Tarte 12-hour Amazonian Clay Blush in Stellar.  Both of these blushes are gorgeous on my skin.  The NYX blush gives my skin such a healthy, rosy glow while the Tarte blush really adds such a subtle warmth to my cheeks.  You can actually lightly contour with this blush while applying it to your cheeks and blending back along the hallows of your cheekbones.  Both of these blushes have been my go-to's this month.

3.  Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil:  this oil has saved my face this month.  I recently changed my entire skincare routine and my face is definitely paying the price for that.  One of the early side effects of my new skincare regimen is very dry and flaky skin.  However, I have been able to combat this nasty and unsightly side effect by using Argan Oil every night as my moisturizer.  I know that it seems like something you shouldn't do, use oil on your face, but it's working.  I'm sure it's due to the fact that Argan Oil has so many healing properties to it that it has help nourish, heal, and moisturize my face without clogging my pores and causing massive breakouts!

4.  Eyeliners:  Clinique Quickliner Eyes Intense in Intense Plum and Tarte Cashmere Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Brown.  Both of these eyeliners are soft and creamy and so easy to apply.  Because they are so soft, you can easily smudge them out with a pencil-type brush or the Clinique liner has a smudger on the opposite end of the liner.  In any case, both of these liners give your eyes an intense burst of color without being harsh like black liners.  Love these...
