September 2012 Favorites
The days are getting shorter and the air is getting cooler and it's about time, I never thought that this heat wave would end. I love the fall- the crisp, cool breezes, the leaves changing colors and I especially love wearing boots, sweaters and scarves. September is over and here are my favorites for the month:
1. Blushes - Nars Oasis and Tarte Blushing Bride: these blushes have a warmth about them. Fall usually makes me want to wear more plums and berry shades and these blushes really scream "fall" to me! I love wearing these blushes with a soft, neutral eye. And although both of these blushes appear to have a lot of shimmer in them, they don't translate onto your skin that way. These two blushes give such a nice glow and flush of color - perfect for a fall day!
2. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with Real Techniques Powder Brush - this powder has really lived up to its name and is my new favorite setting powder. It really does help to keep my face from getting too oily throughout the day. I like to apply this powder with my new RT powder brush. I like how this brush is fluffy in one direction but pinched in and flat in the other direction. This is a great brush to apply not only powder, but also bronzer and blush. This brush is a great quality brush at a drugstore price. I purchased my brush from Ulta. Love this brush!
3. Lipsticks: Revlon Lip Butters - Fall always makes me want to wear my plummy/berry/wine colors. I have been reaching for a couple of Revlon Lip Butters lately in Brown Sugar (020) and Sugar Plum (085). These are two beautiful and pigmented lipsticks that have a moisturizing balm feeling - perfect to wear when your lips are feeling a bit dry and parched. I have really fallen in love with the Revlon Lip Butters - they are the perfect blend of lipstick and lip balm. They give really great color with just enough moisture and shine...I can't wait to get more of these.

I hope that you had a great month of September. What were your favorites?
I like the fall season also. Wish it would last longer. Love the beautiful colors of leaves, the cooler evenings for sleeping, the apple orchards, and pumpkin patches.
