Beauty - My Favorite Face Brushes
Here are my favorite makeup brushes for FACE:
FYI - I am not sponsored by Sigma brushes but I do have an affiliate link on my pages, which means if you click and purchase any brushes via my link, I will receive a commission from your purchase. But I would not mention any products that I do not love to use and would not mislead you in order to make any money. Having said that, I do love their brushes! I have purchased both their Premium Professional kit as well as their Essential Kit, and a couple of their Sigmax precision face brushes (F82/F84). These brushes, in my opinion, are comparable to MAC brushes but are a fraction of the prices of the MAC brushes.
For face, I love using a couple of brushes and one "tool". For liquid foundation, I love using my Sigma Sigmax F84 Angled Kabuki Brush and my Real Techniques Stippling Brush. For powder and mineral foundations, I love using the Real Techniques Buffing brush, MAC 182 Kabuki brush, and recently I have fallen in love with the Sephora Mineral Powder brush #45. The "tool" I received several months ago in my Birchbox is the Beauty Blender. This one tool can give you flawless results that look like your foundation was professionally airbrushed - love!! You can also use the Beauty Blender to blend out any harsh lines from your blush or bronzer or just to blend/buff everything together. Love, love this tool - must buy backups!!
For blush, I really like my Sigma Angled brush - this brush is great for placing your blush on the apples of your cheeks and then blending it out in an upwards motion towards your hairline. You can also use this brush to apply bronzer in the hallows of your cheeks. The angle of this brush is the perfect shape to apply powders and then blending them out leaving no harsh lines behind. I also like using my Sonia Kaushak Bamboo Blush Brush - the brush is soft and small, perfect for applying color and blending it out. I also like the Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Blush Brush for applying cream blushes. This brush picks up just the right amount of product and blends it out perfectly.
For bronzer, I love the Sigma Tapered Brush for powder bronzers and the Real Techniques Contour brush for cream bronzers (like the Chanel tan de soleil). These brushes are perfect to apply the product and then blend it out - must have qualities for applying bronzers without leaving a streaky mess on your face!
I recently purchased the Real Techniques Multitasking Brush as well as the Powder Brush. I have loved using both of these brushes but what I love the most is that they don't shed - leaving behind those pesky little black brush hairs all over your face! I have been using the Multitasking brush for applying liquid foundations - this brush does a great job blending out the product. And I set my foundation with the Powder brush. The Real Techniques line of brushes are high quality brushes for a fraction of the price of high end brands. You can find these brushes at Ulta (stores and online) as well as the website (www.RealTechniques.com).
It's always great when you can find great make up brushes for a great price. I hope that you find this article helpful and maybe try out one of my favorite brushes. What are your favorite brushes??
