Birchbox August 2012

My August Birchbox delivery took a little longer than usual but I finally got mine last Friday...but much to my disappointment, a couple of my items were missing;(  I did e-mail Birchbox about this issue on Saturday and am waiting to hear back from them.  In any case...the theme for this month's box was "Beauty School" and instead of including the usual index card with item descriptions, this month they had fold-out "Beauty 101" tip cards with tips for the "beauty student" in each of us.

5.  Schick - Hydro Silk Razor

I have to say that every month I look forward to the arrival of my Birchbox and this month was no different.  However, this is the first time I can say that I was disappointed in my samples.  Not only were items missing, as I mentioned earlier, but the Stila foundation and concealer were in the shade Deep which is way to dark for me and thus a useless sample.  Also, the samples this month seem so blah - nothing for me to get excited about.  Oh well...one bad month doesn't spoil the whole thing.  I still love getting my monthly Birchbox and look forward to seeing what awesome goodies await me but I guess that different samples excite some while the same samples don't.  Anywho...I will continue to look forward to my future Birchbox's and can't wait to share them with you.  Have you signed up yet?

Update - I did get an e-mail back from Birch box and they apologized for my missing items.  They also informed me that I am on a list to receive the missing items.  However, if in the case my missing items are no longer in stock they will credit me.  I do appreciate the Birchbox team getting back to me in a prompt manner.
